This article exposes a riff in the Senate GOP. There are a few Republicans who broke away from party leadership by helping Democrats extend Unemployment benefits. The intent of these republicans is to hope to gain political traction on an issue other than Obamacare. They fear that the party leadership leaning to heavily on O-Care as their major campaign platform in the midterms but other republicans believe that the political winds of O-Care may change, and that the focus should be on the economy and jobs.
My opinion is that the break away Republicans are right because the election is still 8 months away and that the botched rollout will be out of sight and out of mind. The GOP needs to change some strategies, not positions if we hope to retain the house and capture the Senate. I fear the leadership has put all its' in one basket, however they insist that O-Care is the gift that keeps on giving
